What inspired you to join mom & baby classes at Eris Moms and continue going?
Mommy and Me fitness classes were exactly what I was looking for when I moved to Kelowna in the middle of the winter with a 5 week old. I was looking for a way to start getting back into shape, meet new people, and have fun. The classes have covered all those elements which is why I keep coming back.
How long have you been attending classes?
Everly and I have been attending the classes for 9 months.
How has it impacted you since you joined Eris Moms?
The class introduced me to other moms in Kelowna and helped me get my pre-baby body and confidence back.
Describe your favorite class.
I have tried all the mom and baby morning classes and have enjoyed them all. They will all push you but there is something for everyone depending on your schedule and your fitness needs. My favorite classes are Stretch and Strength, Barre Core Fusion, and Cardio Circuit.
What changes have you noticed since you started coming to classes?
One of my goals when I started the classes was to get back on the soccer field. I joined a team 4 months after starting the classes and was very happy with my fitness level compared to the other women. It helped me get back to my passion and helped me feel like me again.
So many moms are feeling too tired to workout, how do you juggle being a mom, working out and living everyday life?
This is definitely a challenge as a new mom but if you’re able to get yourself there regularly you will be happier and healthier which will help you be the best mom possible for your little one. Also, it’s a great place for Everly to play with the other babies and burn off some energy which is always a plus.
What would you say to moms that have not tried a mom & baby class at Eris Moms?
There are so many reasons to come to these classes. If you’re not sure where to start to get back in shape, give a class a try. If you’re looking to meet other moms who enjoy being active, give a class a try. If you’re looking for an excuse to get out of the house with the baby, give a class a try. If you want to have a great time while getting a work out in, definitely give it a try!
